How do I upload a script?

From the project home screen, tap the + button to create a new project. You can upload a PDF, paste text directly, or select a sample script. OffBookly automatically detects characters and line breaks.

How do beats and intentions work?

A beat is a unit of acting meaning — a moment within a monologue where the character's thought or emotion shifts. After uploading a monologue, you can mark beats and assign each one an intention (e.g., "to plead," "to challenge," "to surrender"). This helps you rehearse with understanding, not just rote memorization.

How does scene rehearsal work?

Upload a scene PDF and choose your role. OffBookly will read every other role aloud with realistic voices, pausing for you to deliver your lines. Say your line — the app will automatically advance to the next exchange when you finish.

Can I rehearse offline?

Yes. Once a project is uploaded, all rehearsal features work offline, including speech recognition. Perfect for planes, dressing rooms, and anywhere reception is unreliable.

How do I cancel my subscription?

OffBookly subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not within the app:

  1. Open iPhone Settings
  2. Tap your name at the top
  3. Tap Subscriptions
  4. Find OffBookly and tap Cancel Subscription

You'll keep Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

If you've previously subscribed and reinstalled the app, go to the membership page and tap Restore Purchase. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used originally.

What's your refund policy?

Refunds for subscription purchases are handled by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with your Apple ID. Apple typically responds within 48 hours.

I found a bug. What should I include in my email?

Can I delete my account?

Yes. In the app, go to Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account, all uploaded scripts, and practice history. Subscriptions managed through Apple should be cancelled separately (see above).
